I just get my hand on Up new Atomizer system. I can only say that it is damn good atomizer. Much better than my previous Boyu CD-01 inline diffuser. The builds are solids with safety nuts system that prevent tube to come off. It come with 3 different sizes: 8/12mm, 12/16mm and 16/22mm
Warning!! Apparently you need extra pressure to push the CO2 out. Thus it is normal that you wont see anything when you first turn ON the CO2. Just wait for couple of minutes until enough pressure build up to push out the CO2. Because of this you might want to change the bubble counter and check valve the the model that have screw lock. The pressure can make the CO2 hose come off from normal type bubble counter and check valve.
Look the different from short videos below. Both are injected with the same amounth of CO2 (same nbumber of bps)
Boyu CD-01
You should be able to see some big CO2 bubble coming out once a while.
Up New Atomizer System
Look at those tiny bubble, it is so small, much smaller than the smalest bubble produced by Boyu CD-01. So small until its look just like smoke coming out from lily pipe.
Looks good, where did you get it from?
ReplyDeleteMay I know how much is the 18/22 and where can it be found? I liked the Boyu, but its still wasting and building up CO2 in my chiller
ReplyDeletethanks
Cool! The UP Atomizer best.
ReplyDeleteI got it from friend who went to Hong Kong. It is around S$25. 3 time the price of Boyu CD-01.
ReplyDeleteis that any shops that sells this in singapore?
ReplyDeleteNot that I knew of
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know which particular shop your friend got it from? My friend is going to HKG soon so im getting to help me get it.
ReplyDeleteSOrry I do not know which shop he bought it from. From what I heard it is quite common over there. So you should have no problem finding it.
ReplyDeleteSorry correction, I just saw Keong Seong Fish Shop(KS) have it. It double the price though.
ReplyDeleteJust bought one Size L UP atomizer from Green Chapter @$40.

yes still using it. I can't remember how long already but yes still good. Able to generate fine bubble until now.
ReplyDeleteThey are now available in the UK. Just bought one and I'm very impressed. It's a small unobtrusive unit. Liking the hose locks, no leaks and very secure fit. the 16mm is perfect if you have a Fluval 305/405 canister filter. I use the Fluval spray bar kit for my 405 system. The bubbles produced from the diffuser come out as a fine mist. Very nice to watch. I found I had to adjust the pressure of my CO2 cylinder from 1 to 2 bar for this to work nicely. This device will not work with a DIY co2 system due to the high pressure required to unseat the diffuser valve. I give it 5 stars out of 5 as it's the best diffuser I've used.
ReplyDeleteHi my atomizer is not working what can i do plz i need help in this.
ReplyDeleteHave you check for leak? What is your working pressure? This Up inline diffuser required at least 46 psi.
ReplyDeletei have just got one but it dosent seem to work. i have set it to 3bar and the bubbles are comming out about 4 a second im using a rain bar which is set about 6 inc under the water ive left it for about 3hours and nothing is happening can someone help me
ReplyDeleteThere are few possibilities:
Delete- Maybe it 100% disolve, that why you did not see the fine bubble. Do you happen to have drop checker to check?
- Maybe leakage in connection. First time use, it crack my bubble counter.
- Maybe your regulator does not have enough pressure. It need more pressure than normal diffuser. However if this the case then your bps will be eratic after a while.
Beware of the new Up super atomizer. They need much higher psi for it in order to function well. Wondering why did they come out such product so much differences apart from the first product.

The Singapore distributor told me that they no longer importing the old model because it user cant clean internally which is not true. IT is easy to clean, just inject H2O2 from the CO2 connector. Wait few minutes and it clean as new.
DeleteThis is the first time i am reading your post and admire that you posted article which gives users lot of information regarding particular topic thanks for this share.

ReplyDeleteI don't see any bubbles coming from my filter outlet into my aquarium. should I see bubbles? Also how do you know when to replave the Atomizer?
ReplyDeleteCould me many thing. First of all, what is your working pressure (psi)? This diffuser require higher working pressure somewhere around 40psi.
DeleteSecondly, have you check for leakage?
Lastly where did you connect the inline diffuser? inlet or outlet of your filter? If inlet, then I don't expect to see anything.
